Emergency Department

Our Emergency Department is staffed 24 hours a day by physicians, physician assistants and nurses.
We also have on-call specialists in orthopedics, general surgery, pediatrics, internal medicine, obstetrics and gynecology.
We operate on a triage system which means patients who are the most critically ill or injured will be seen and treated first.
If you have a less serious illness or injury, this could mean you will have a longer wait. If at any time you are unsure why you are waiting, please ask a staff member.
Most patients who need to be admitted to the Hospital can be cared for at Henry County Hospital. However, in the case of certain severe illnesses or injuries, the patient may be transferred to another hospital by ambulance or a medical helicopter for care not available locally.
