Holter Monitor
Holter monitoring is a portable electrocardiogram (EKG) that provides a continuous recording of heart rhythm during normal activity.
Patients usually wear the monitor for 24 hours while continuing their normal routine.
The test will record if certain activities trigger irregular heart rhythms or if abnormal heart rates are a result of medications or occur under certain circumstances. The Holter Monitor typically is done from your physician's office to monitor the need for additional testing.
