2012 marks the 4th year for the annual Henry County Hospital event highlighting women and heart disease. And, while it may not have it all, it has a lot. Doors to the Women's Fair open at 5 pm at First Baptist Church Family Life Center. The first 600 will receive this year's red bag -- an insulated lunch tote -- filled with surprises.
Debut of Henry County Hospital's newest video -- My HeartScan -- is part of the evening's program beginning at 6:30 pm. Local cardiologist Nathan Millikan, MD FACC, will serve as emcee.
Among vendors at the Women's Fair you will find familiar favorites and new exciting booths. Look for blood pressure checks, carotid screenings, chocolate sales, massages, gift ideas and more. Demonstrations will be in both the Fellowship Hall and Cafe. You can "Sit and Get Fit", learn how to make a delicious heart healthy dish, try belly dancing and more.
Don't forget light refreshments will be provided by Custom Catering & Bakers, Temptations, Cafe Royal, Anytime Fitness, Bob Evans, Paula's Catering and KFC.
Wrap-around events have been planned and already Mancino's Pizza and Grinders offered a portion of their sales to anyone wearing red as a donation to Henry County Heart Society. Cafe Royal joined in by offering a free medium drink with meal purchase to patrons in red.
Still to come -- Bob Evans, Feb. 24 and Applebee's, Feb. 27 also donating a portion of sales to anyone with event flyers to Henry County Heart Society. Event flyers will be available at Affairs of the Heart or online at www.hcmhcares.org.
