Call 911 for Symptoms of a Heart Attack
- Uncomfortable pressure, squeezing, fullness or pain in the center of your chest. It lasts more than a few minutes, or goes away and comes back.
- Pain or discomfort in one or both arms, the back, neck, jaw or stomach.
- Shortness of breath with or without chest discomfort.
- Breaking out in a cold sweat, nausea/vomiting or lightheadedness.
Our local EMS paramedics call Henry County Hospital letting us know you are on the way so we are waiting to provide further care for you. They also can perform EKGs and begin initial treatment based on approved medical protocols. You can’t do that if you arrive in your car!
