Time To Take Control of Stress - 5/30/2012

Stress affects everyone differently. You may have physical signs such as tense or sore muscles or you may have emotional signs such as feeling helpless or depressed or you may have both. But what can you do to manage the stress in your life?

With summer coming on now would be a great time to learn healthy habits which can help protect you from the harmful effects of stress at the next Managing Stress, Anxiety and Frustration Class. The next 4-week session begins Tuesday, June 5 from 6-7:30 pm at Forest Ridge Medical Pavilion. Cost is just $20.

Each of the four sessions will help you develop an awareness of stress and how to zero in on what stress is to you, the physical and physiological changes in your body, and how to recognize stress. You''ll also learn relaxation techniques and their practical applications and techniques. You will develop your own action plan to immediately start reducing your stress level, feel more in control of your life and give yourself a greater sense of well-being.

Join instructor Diane Hess as she guides you through the importance of taking time to have proper nutrition, proper rest and having fun on the way to dealing with stress. You also will study, discuss and practice muscle relaxation, deep breathing and easy yoga techniques.
