Scholarships Awarded To Future Physicians
Dr. Cloyd L. Dye, a Henry County physician who specialized in internal medicine and cardiology now retired from private practice, remembers what it was like to financially struggle as a medical student, intern and resident and how much debt he had incurred by the time he was finished.
That remembrance and the desire to share their success by helping future physicians, led him and his wife, Mary Lou, to establish the Cloyd L. and Mary Lou Dye Scholarship Fund in 2006 through the Henry County Hospital Foundation.
The Scholarship fund financially assists medical students and residents with their education and hopefully will help encourage Henry County residents who want to become physicians to return "home" to Henry County to practice.
