• Follow instructions given by your nurse regarding treatment
• Take only medications given by your nurse
• Ask for help at any time you feel weak or dizzy while moving around
• Check with your nurse before eating extra food brought by family
• Leave items of personal value at home
• Necessary items such as glasses or dentures may be kept in your room
• Appliances such as hair dryers, curling irons, radios, fans, clocks, etc., are considered unsafe in patient care areas unless they are specifically designed for use in the Hospital. We discourage the use of these items from home and provide most appliances for you

A safe is available for valuables that must be kept at the Hospital. Items must be checked upon admission. The Hospital cannot be held responsible for money or personal belongings kept in your room.
